Prompts are just suggestions. We build tools that verify AI code before you save.

Every developer using AI assistants (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini) runs into the same wall once a project grows beyond a few files: the AI edits a function in one file and silently breaks a caller in another, follows an outdated design note from last week, or says “all tests pass” without running them.

Instead of trying to fix those habits with longer system prompts, we built Resonant MCP (`resonant-exocortex`)—a plug-in server for Antigravity, Cursor, and Claude Code that checks code edits in memory before saving and ties project notes directly to your code so old notes expire automatically when a function changes.

How Resonant Works Inside Your Existing Code Editor

Resonant is not another chat app or AI wrapper. It is a lightweight, zero-dependency Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that runs locally alongside your editor and gives your AI three concrete capabilities:

01 / Pre-Save Verification

Tests Edits Before Writing to Disk

Catches edge-case crashes and security shortcuts before the file is saved.

  • In-Memory Boundary Checks: Tests modified functions against boundary inputs (like empty lists [] or 0) in milliseconds—even before you write a unit test.
  • Stops Silent Caller Breakage: Checks whether changing a function’s arguments or mutating an input list will break other files that call it.
  • Fact-Checks Completion Claims: Flags AI replies that claim “all tests pass” when no test command was actually run.
02 / Code-Linked Memory

Project Notes That Expire Automatically

Solves the biggest problem with standard AI memory: outdated notes.

  • Fingerprinted to Your Code: Every architectural note stored in Resonant’s local SQLite database is linked to the SHA-256 fingerprint of the actual code function it describes.
  • Zero Manual Cleanup: The moment you edit that function later, its fingerprint changes and the old note is automatically marked outdated.
  • Learns From Bug Fixes: When you fix a failed AI edit once, Resonant saves a local check so your AI doesn’t repeat the same mistake tomorrow.
03 / Surgical Codebase Map

Finds Only the Lines That Matter

Stops your AI from burning tokens reading whole files line-by-line.

  • Function + Caller Slice: Extracts the target function, its preconditions and state changes, and the exact lines in other files that call it.
  • Git Co-Change Awareness: Uses your local Git commit history to point out partner files that almost always need to be updated together.
  • Try It in 60 Seconds: Connect any MCP-compatible editor to our live demo endpoint at resonantexo.com.
Plain-English Guide • Why Resonant Is Different From Standard AI Plugins

Five Computer-Science Ideas Explained Simply (With Published References)

Most AI coding plugins either wrap a chat prompt or search text paragraphs by keyword similarity. Resonant applies five proven software-engineering techniques directly to your code in under 2 milliseconds at zero extra LLM token cost:

  • 1. Running Code on Tricky Inputs vs. Asking a Second AI to “Guess” (resonant_verify_cegar): Asking a second AI model to review code takes seconds, costs extra API tokens, and often misses the same edge cases (Peng et al., CWEval 2025; Vero et al., BaxBench 2025). Instead, Resonant tests your modified function in an isolated memory sandbox against boundary inputs (0, -1, None, empty lists []) and compares old vs. new behavior before saving—an application of Counterexample-Guided Abstraction Refinement (Clarke et al., CAV 2000).
  • 2. Mapping Callers & Git History vs. Chopping Files into Paragraphs (resonant_architect_orient): Standard “RAG” search chops files into arbitrary text chunks and misses callers in other files. Resonant maps each function’s inputs, state changes, and return guarantees (Hoare, CACM 1969; Weiser, IEEE TSE 1984) alongside files that historically changed together in your Git commits (Zimmermann et al., IEEE TSE 2005)—cutting context token usage by ~87%.
  • 3. Notes That Expire Automatically When Code Changes vs. Outdated Text Memory (resonant_memory_jtms): Standard AI memory tools suffer from “memory rot” when code changes but old notes remain (Wu et al., LongMemEval ICLR 2025). Resonant links every project note to a SHA-256 fingerprint of the actual code structure using a Justification Truth Maintenance System (Doyle, Artificial Intelligence 1979): when the function changes, stale notes automatically flag as STALE_AST_DRIFT.
  • 4. Turning Bug Fixes into 0-Token Code Checks vs. Bloated Prompt Files (resonant_evolve_guardrail): Instead of adding more text warnings to a prompt file that the AI eventually ignores, Resonant generalizes the line that changed between the broken and fixed code into a reusable pattern (Plotkin, 1970; Rolim et al., ICSE 2017) and saves a <1ms local check that costs 0 prompt tokens on later edits.
  • 5. Fact-Checking Completion Summaries Against Real Receipts (resonant_honesty_audit): Breaks the AI’s final summary into individual claims (Min et al., FActScore EMNLP 2023) and checks each one against real file paths, symbols, and test exit codes (Necula, Proof-Carrying Code, POPL 1997). We Don’t Just Talk About AI Tooling—We Ship Complex Software With It

Anyone can put charts on a landing page. The real test of developer tooling is whether it can build and maintain complex, multi-language software without regressions. Using Resonant MCP inside Antigravity, we took four classic 30-year-old open-source dungeon games written in C and C++ and bridged them to a 60 FPS first-person 3D WebGL browser client, a desktop C# client, an Android app, an offline WebAssembly worker, and a fact-checked AI voice narrator—live today at angband3d.com.

From Live Stage Multi-Track Capture to Mastered Album & Published Media Kit

Recording a multi-piece acoustic ensemble in a live venue is notoriously difficult: multiple vocalists and acoustic instruments share the same room, different singers step up to take the lead from song to song, and a standard stereo board recording sounds flat and unbalanced. Mixing a 20-song live set in a traditional desktop DAW takes days of manual automation. Using Resonant MCP, we built the Studio-12 Live Mixing & Mastering Workstation—an end-to-end 64-bit Python and WebAudio pipeline that starts with a portable Tascam Model 12 (24-bit / 48 kHz BWF) stage capture and adapts to ensembles of variable input sizes and acoustic spaces.

01 / Live Capture & WAV Extraction

From Stage Recorder to Clean Stems

Captures discrete 24-bit / 48 kHz multi-track Broadcast Wave stems directly from a Tascam Model 12 (or multi-channel stage mixer). Automatically slices the full concert recording into individual songs, aligns phase across microphones, trims inter-song stage chatter, and normalizes levels in seconds—with zero destructive noise gates or vocal dropouts.

02 / Dynamic Ensemble Balancing

Adapts Across Songs & Acoustic Rooms

Live acoustic groups rarely have a single static frontman. Studio-12 tracks per-song vocal roles (Center Lead, Wide Harmony Choir, and Vocal Bass Pocket) alongside direct bass and acoustic instrument arrays—letting you balance the room acoustics once and apply it cleanly across a 20+ song performance.

03 / Mastering & Turnkey Media Kits

One-Click Web & EPK Publishing

The background render queue processes 64-bit masters to broadcast loudness (-14.0 LUFS / -1.0 dBTP), exports streaming audio, pairs each track with retouched stage photography and technical liner notes, and publishes a complete Concert Vault and booking media kit website.
